An Evening with The Palm Center – Honoring Ray Mulliner

The Palm Center hosted a virtual event on International Transgender Visibility Day, March 31, 2022, that honored the life and advocacy work of Ray Mulliner, longtime LGBTQ advocate and steward of equality. The event, which also celebrated the Palm Center’s 25 years fighting for LGBTQ equality as it prepares to close its doors later this year, featured special guests, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, as well as other distinguished guests who have dedicated their careers to fighting for fairness and equality, including Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), as well as Congresspersons Barbara Lee (D-CA), Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY), and David Cicilline (D-RI), Chair of the Congressional LGBTQ+ Equality Caucus.

Honoree Ray Mulliner of San Francisco worked for decades alongside the late Ambassador James C. Hormel, the nation’s first openly gay ambassador, to steward resources to support local, state, and national LGBTQ equality.
